The Association of American Publishers has taken legal action against Amazon for the use of the audio streaming platform Audible Captions. Through this system, Amazon can directly transform the audiobooks in texts and it seems that it is not concerning about reaching agreements with foreign publishers who hold the works’ rights.

Another tool that Amazon uses for the transformation of the audio in texts to be displayed on the screen is Immersion Reading that works on the cooperation and collaboration with publishers.

On the 3^rd September, the Federal Court has reported that Audible excludes from Caption functionality the audiobooks of those publishers who have the rights, until the expression of the Court.
