Salone del Libro book fair and Rights Centre 2025 - Turin (Italy)
Now you all know: the Salone del Libro in Turin is a not to be missed occasion for IBA and for the big family of CSA Editrice.
The book fair, which this year was held from 15th to 19th May, is one of the most important event in Italy in the field of national and international literature and culture and it set a new record of attendance in 2025: 231,000 people visited the amazing book stands and halls, and participated in the incredible events and interviews organized by the Salone and by individual publishers hosting writers, singers, tv presenters.
CSA Editrice, as the main sponsor of several literary competitions used his booth to host the awarding ceremony of some contests, such as “Autori italiani”, or “Il saggista”, rewarding many writers with trophies, certificates and free publications for the winners. Moreover, they hosted presentations and interviews, besides selling many CSA and Planet Book books to the general public.
In the meanwhile, our Foreign Rights Assistant was busy meeting publishers and foreign rights assistants from all over the world at the Rights Centre of the Salone and to promote IBA’s most loved titles from several Italian publishing houses, such as the essays “Nushu: the script that gave voice to women”, “Gaslighting”, “The music of the peoples”, but also children illustrated stories (new titles by Planet Book like “Elia’s Trunk”, “King Pulce”, “The Advent Calendar”), young adult fiction (the fantasy saga, “Vita” by Armando Curcio Editore or the new title “The holy ashes” by Alessandra Bonadonna, Planet Book), adult fiction and contemporary literary fiction (in particular “Moonskin”, “The cracked vase” , the feminist novel “Chrysalis” have aroused most publishers’ interest).
We all hope these meetings will lead to fruitful collaborations with new publishers from all over the world, in order to spread Italian literature abroad and to enrich our knowledge with some interesting foreign books as well!
